Nutrition: The signature of whole foods

There is a doctrine in Feng Shui known as the signature of whole foods. Basically this doctrine says that when a food resembles a body part, then the nutrition in that food is specifically designed to nourish, strengthen and heal that part of the body.
Let’s look at a few examples of the some common foods and the nutrition they contain:
Avocado: This fruit is shaped like a pear and has the unmistakable appearance of a woman’s uterus. Did you know that an avocado takes 9 months to grow and mature? In terms of nutrition, the avocado is said to be essential for the integrity of our reproductive system, balancing hormones and even preventing cervical cancer.
Slice a carrot crosswise and what do you see? A shape that closely resembles the pupil of our eye. Carrots contain a carotenoid called beta-carotene which our body converts to Vitamin A. Vitamin A is an oxidant which is essential to eye health. So that old adage, “eat up your carrots – they’re good for your eyes” is actually true.
And here are some interesting nutrition facts about walnuts. Well first off, walnuts look remarkably like our skull – the hard protection for our brain and then inside the walnut we find a thin partition separating the two halves of the nut – very much like the two hemispheres in our brain.
Walnuts are high in protein, linoleic and alpha-linoleic acits, vitamin E and Vitamin B, making them the perfect brain food.
And then there are the veggies that are tall and straight and resemble our bones. Like celery and rhubarb and bok choy. Not surprisingly, they support bone health. Did you know that our bones, celery and rhubarb all contain the same percentage of sodium?
Figs hang in twos and are full of tiny seeds. And what body part does that resemble? Yup, you’ve got it – the testes. The nutrition content of figs is high – they are full of vitamin A, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, calcium, iron, phosphorus, manganese, sodium, potassium and chlorine. Figs are reputed to increase one’s sperm sperm count.
And last but certainly not least, we have the sweet potato which resembles the pancreas. And is it a coincidence that sweet potatoes release sugars gradually into the bloodstream and are the perfect low-glycemic food. That means they don’t stress the pancreas, which helps regulate blood-sugar levels.
So there you have it. Nutrition in our everyday foods that is designed by nature to protect and heal. And that’s another reason why it is so important for us to include a variety of foods in our diet.
There are so many other fruits and veggies out there that I can think of that fit the signature of foods doctrine. If anyone has their own food signature story that they would like to share we would simply love to hear it. Drop me a line and share with the rest of our community.

I just finished reading a book and I strongly feel there
could be something to this book, http://bookofaquarius.forgottenbooks.org/
”>the
book of aquarius. The purpose of this book is to release one
particular secret, which has been kept hidden for the last 12,000 years. The
Philosophers’ Stone is real; you can make it at home. The Stone makes old
people young, heals all forms of sickness and disease, extends your life, turns
any metal into gold, and more, as you will learn. This isn’t a myth or a
metaphor, it’s a fact.
I think we need to introduce signature of whole foods to our feng shui products.
If I may add. The Chinese believe that if you consume pig trotter, it will help you legs!
Can I just say what a relief to find someone who actually knows what they’re talking about on the internet. You definitely know how to bring an issue to light and make it important. More people need to read this and understand this side of the story. I cant believe you’re not more popular because you definitely have the gift.
