Step 2 in Creating Affirmations

Step 2 of the Affirmation System is a continuation of the Mind Wellness:  Affirmation:  It’s a 3 step process, so if you didn’t read that post, hop over and catch up before continuing here.

As a quick recap, we were going to identify all the areas in our lives that we want to affirm and write each area on a separate piece of paper. Now it’s time to start creating your own affirmations.  This will take a little time, but once you do a couple, the process just sort of flows.

For example, I came up with 5 distinct areas that I wanted to work on – money, weight, self confidence, time management and community.  Don’t be afraid to make affirmations deeply personal – remember they are ours!    I’m sharing a few of my affirmations relating to money.  Here goes:

Money is a tool that I have not respected in the past.  I am ready and able to use this tool to attract true abundance in my life.

Financial abundance is my destiny.

Keeping guard over my finances will ensure that money is attracted to me.

Once the list is complete, choose just 5 and write each one on a separate index card. Commit to saying your affirmations every morning – link it to an event like brushing your teeth or showering so that it becomes a habit.  Look in the mirror and say your affirmations out loud. Repeat this process for 40 consecutive days. This will ensure that the affirmations are fully rooted in our body, in our mind and have become a part of who we are.

Stay tuned for Part 3 in this series:  Mind Wellness:  Building on our Affirmations – Step 3.
