According to Debbie Lewis, Director and Midwife of Mamatoto Resource and Childbirth Centre, in a perfect world, midwives would attend to normal low risk pregnancies while obgyns would attend to high risk pregnancies. This would allow for a more natural birthing process, one that many women would like to experience.
